Honeywell RABO Rotary Gas Meter

Honeywell’s latest rotary gas meter range, the RABO, combines the proven features of earlier models such as the RVG and IRM into a modern, cost-effective, future-ready design. It uses the rotary displacement principle, where two impellers rotate in sequence without touching. Each rotation represents a fixed volume of gas passing through the meter.

A reducing gear transfers this measurement to an 8-digit mechanical index for clear on-site reading. A low-frequency pulse output is supplied as standard for connection to BMS or AMR systems. Optional upgrades include a high-frequency pulse output for more detailed data and an S1D encoder for M-Bus communication.

The RABO range is available in sizes from 32mm to 100mm with PN16 flanged connections. It offers high accuracy without requiring long straight inlet pipe runs, can be installed horizontally or vertically, and allows the index to be rotated for easier viewing. With a wide flow range and MID approval, it is suitable for billing and monitoring applications, and can be used with natural gas, LPG, and manufactured gases.
